Leads

#Tae Gong Shil – Tae Yang (Miss Tae / Sun)  – Gong Hyo Jin

A girl who can see ghosts and even communicated with them. Born as a normal girl who has a lot of talents but received the gift(?) after involved in an accident that lead her into a state of coma for 3 years. Her body will end up possessed by ghost if she was completely unconscious so she didn’t drink and scared to sleep deeply – she always had a big dark circle around her eyes. Her world becomes dark and gloomy but all that changed when she met Joo Joong Won not by coincidence.

#Joo Joong Won – Joogun(Master) – So Jiseob

A very arrogant not-so-young  man who define all relationships with money, Sajangnim(President) of KINGDOM. Betrayed by his first love(not exactly) and end up being kidnapped, his first love died in front of his eyes. Believes his first love was the culprit for his kidnapping incident, he shut down the door to the trust between people and replaced it with money instead – he did have trust in his secretary though. The money driven Joo-sajangnim however changed after meeting Tae Gong Shil.

#Kang Woo – Kang Satang(Candy) – Seo InGuk

An ex-army who was sent by Joo-sajang’s father to spy over him and his surrounding. He lied to Tae Gong Shil that he liked her to make his move easier as he needs to investigate her as well but later he found out that the feels becomes real.

#Tae Yi-ryung – Kim Yoori

A top star and KINGDOM’s model. She was a high-school friend with Tae Gong Shil and hated her because during that time,  Tae GongShil was referred as “Big Sun” while Yi Ryung was referred as “Little Sun”, Gong Shil was prettier and more popular back then . The grudge grows deeper after her wedding was ruined by Tae GongShil. She decided to seduce Joo-sajang to get her revenge but ended up falls for Kang Woo instead.

*Note: Tae yang = Miss Tae; Taeyang means Sun*

The Drama

I love everything about this drama. The plot, and all of four leads, the romance, the comedies and the horrors – I normally hate at least one of the leads in any kdrama I watched so far but not in this. The general plot was commonly used – The girl is poor, the guy is extremely rich and there’re elders that against the relationship.

But what makes this drama so special to me were how the characters act to the commonly used plot in  uncommonly ways. Normally, the girl will fall to the guy, but because she was poor she will faced a lot of obstacles, being sad because of the elders, right? I hate watching something like that. Luckily Tae Gong Shil was not a normal girl so she did not act like a normal character would do. She did not care if Joo-sajang like her or not because for her, Joo-sajang was a safety hideout(from the ghosts) which she must attached herself to if she wants to live a better life. The first time she encountered Joo-sajang, she realized by touching him, the ghost disappeared. From then, she always tried to find the chance to touch Joo-sajang. She even ask him to sleep together, bravely (which of course she was rejected) , she did not even scared of the supposedly scary elders  – Where else can you find a female lead like this?

and cold male lead like this:

The story was about how Tae Gong Shil and Joo-sajang find each other useful. Joo-sajang was Tae GongShil’s safety hideout, when she touch him the ghost disappeared. Tae Gong Shil was the medium of communication between Joo-Sajang and his already dead girlfriend. He wanted to find out the location of his mother’s Diamond necklace that was used as the ransom of his kidnapping incident. Later, Joo-sajang gave Tae Gong Shil a job and together they solved a lot of ghosts problems and end up liking each other.

This was one of my favorite scene. Joo-sajang was so cool that I wish he was mine.

ssss

Watching Tae Yiryung trying to seduce Kang Woo in her own way (and get ignored every single time) was also refreshing. She never gives up on what she wants and I gave her my all my supports. * you go girl! *

The ghosts were mostly scary. The first time the ghost came out, I even screamed out loud while holding tightly to my pillow.  Ghosts mostly came to Tae Gong Shil asking for her help – conveying last unspoken word to their loved one.  At first the drama was based on  one ghost story per one episode. Up until episode 12, then the course changed.  The first 12 episodes were fun to watch, it was kinda like watching Detective Conan series. The fun however dropped from episode 13 onward.

This was the ending of episode 12. It marked the changes of the drama flow (which I hated but I know it will somehow turned out like this anyway)- This happened after Joo-sajang shielding Tae Gong Shil from being stabbed by a very long screwdriver. Joo-sajang was basically died and live again(his heart temporarily stopped during the surgery). After his heart stop, the soul came out and met the already helpless Tae Gong Shil. Thinking that he already died, he left her with his last word –

“It feels so unfair, but still, since my girl can see me, I can at least say this to you before I go. Tae Gong Shil, I love you”

lastword

The story became a little bit more serious and not as fun as watching earlier episodes, but still worth it, *trust me, you should watch this until the end*. All conflicts and misunderstandings were solved and all of the important characters have their own happy ending.

happy-ending

* Trivia: Secret Garden, I Hear Your Voice and The Master’s Sun are all SBS dramas where Male lead at some point lost their memories. =.=”

Overall, this drama is absolutely one to watch. It will make you all lovey dovey, giddy, greedy, scaredy and dizzy. 😀 I gave this drama 9/10. I would love this more if it was only 16 episodes like what it was originally scheduled. Then I bet the storyline will be much more meaningful. I found it really annoying when any drama is being extended(I Hear Your Voice was also extended for 2 episodes =.=”)  for rating sake so I deduct one point from there. I will miss my Joo-sajang “kkeojyeo!” and his cute faces and also his lovely Taeyang.
